MathBioNexus Webinar Series

As the official journal of the Society for Mathematical Biology, the Bulletin of Mathematical Biology is a journal devoted to research at the interface of the life and mathematical sciences.

The goal of this seminar series is to:

  • Promote new and exciting publications in the field
  • Encourage knowledge sharing
  • Train or teach researchers about important tools
  • Build a greater community by connecting SMB members with each other and the wider scientific community.

We plan to do this by:

  • Highlighting breaking news
  • Creating didactics or tutorials
  • Holding panel discussions on important themes
  • Having spotlight features

So join us to hear directly from the experts, making the breakthroughs, in this dynamic and fascinating field.

This webinar series is hosted by Springer-Nature, the publisher of our Bulletin of Mathematical Biology, on the Cassyni platform. Each recording can include captions, a transcript, slides, links to papers, and an easy way to create embed links to add to personal and group websites. Each webinar generates a DOI, which helps make them a citable and shareable resource. Subscribe to join the community on the Cassyni platform at: cassyni.com/s/mathbionexus.

The series is produced by Parmvir Bahia (PB), with support from a scientific advisory committee. You already know PB from her hit podcast series Biology in Numbers, which profiles members from our community. The MathBioNexus webinar focuses on science, including recent papers in the Bulletin, topical collections and discussions of breaking news in the field. Suggestions for webinar speakers and topics are welcome. Please email PB at parmvir.bahia@scientistsinc.org.
